    Circa 1900, "three story commercial development that wraps around from Hamilton Street, across Lancaster Avenue, and North 39th Street. The Pompeiian brick row is a variation of late Queen Anne style. Arcade of commercial fronts at first floor with
rusticated keystones in brick arches. The row has composition of ogee, flat and stepped rooflines, and arched, rectangular and
pressed metal bay windows. Rusticated stone trim, diapering, and terra cotta sculptures and "Hawthorne Hall" at center ornament the building. Some! commercial alterations to first floor arcade. Original pantile roof replaced with asphalt shingles in some place~. --- Significant.
