This
house was demolished.
“3700 and 3702 were built at the same time, c1869, and in a transitional Italianate style very similar to 3701-03 Baring St. behind them. They lacked a few of the more elaborate features on 3701-03 such as the brick window surrounds and the stone belt-course above the second floor. 3700 was later modified with Colonial Revival entries on the front and side, possibly in the early twentieth century.”

League living next door at 3706 Hamilton St. About that time, he
married Mary Riley. They remained in the
neighborhood until the late 1890s when he was committed to the Home for the
Incurables at 48th and Woodland.
He died at his son’s house, 3726 Hamilton St.,
in 1912.
c1874: Marriage of Rose Riley to Nicholas J. Snyder, Jr. of 3714 Hamilton St.
In 1878, they lived at 3708 Hamilton St. with his family. He died in 1879.
"DEATH OF A TELEGRAPHER - N. J.
Snyder, a well known telegraph operator of this city,
died yesterday afternoon, at five o'clock, at Kane, Pa., where he had gone for
the benefit of his health. For the past few years he has been in the employ of
Messrs. Drexel & Co., of this city."

1874, Philadelphia Inquirer:
“Michael Bradley [sic.], Chauncey F. Sargent, and Harry C. League, who keep a
tavern and news agency at No. 3702 Hamilton street, were charged with selling
liquor on Sunday. The charge was brought
by Joseph Flager, who was employed by the accused to
attend to their eating bar. He saw the
liquor sold and he heard League order the bar-keep to sell it. The accused were each held in $800 bail for
trial.” (April 15, 1874)
