B. Justice’s first wife, Mary Sophia Fletcher, died in 1849. She was the sister
of George A. Fletcher (216 N. 34th St.). Alfred
and Mary had two children: Clara Cunningham Justice and Frank F. Justice. Clara
marred Florence W. Grugan. They lived a few houses
away at 311 N. 33rd St. Alfred married
Susan H. Justice (1828-1894) in 1853. She and Lydia McIlvain (1811-1876) were
the daughters of Hugh and Hannah Hunt McIlvain. They grew up near 34th
and Market St. and many members of their family remained in Powelton.
