            Elizabeth was the widow of Edward Davis. In 1850, she was already widowed and living in Upper Merion with five children. The 1867 directory lists them at 318 N. 31st St. which she owned from 1864 to 1869. In 1880 and 1900, Samuel was living at 3418 Race St. with his wife and son.

1874, Nov. 11: Death of Sarah K. Trainer of 404 [332] N. 32nd St.; internment at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

 

1875, May 6: Death of Lizzie Ada Trained of 404 [332] N. 32nd St.; internment at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

 

1876, Dec. 31: Death of Joseph W. Trainer of 404 [332] N. 32nd St.; internment at Laurel Hill cemetery. His occupation was listed as "car builder."  He may have been working for the J. A. Brill Co. which had its factory nearby.

1919, April 11: Death of August Matson, beloved husband of Elizabeth Matson (nee Moran) and son of Anne and the late Adolph Matson. Relatives, friends, also St. Agatha's Holy Name Society and Camden Lodge, No. 111, L. O. O. M., invited to funeral from his late residence, 404 N. 32nd St. High mass of requiem at St. Agatha's Church. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery.  (Phila. Inquirer, April 14, 1919)

            August Matson was born in Sweden and immigrated in 1882. In 1910, they lived in Camden, N.J. where he was a machinist.

            His family lived at 426 N. 32nd St. In 1940, Hugh and Marie were living at 3619 Baring St.

 

1937, March 8: Death of Elizabeth C. Matson, 56 years old

            In 1940, most of the Matson family lived at 3710 Baring St.
