3704-3718:
“three-story Italianate doubles, with bracketed flat overhanging roof,
stuccoed; side projecting bays… 3718 - porch altered.”

These
houses are not indicated on the 1862 Smedley Atlas the drawings for which were
completed in 1860.

of Houses from Loss by Fire policy #10664. They were owned by William P. Hamm.
He lived at 206 N. 35th St.

and his family at 3701 Powelton Ave. He then
built the large mansion at 34th and Powelton

1968: Sold by
The
Wattles family added bathrooms and turned the kitchen/back shed into one large
room with a passageway for laundry, a powder room and an open entrance into the
cellar.
The Floods turned the front parlor and dining room into
one large room, reopened the old back hearth into a fireplace and
enclosed/landscaped the back yard.
