Place.
The
1861 directory lists James English living on Hamilton above 33rd St.
The
1860 census lists James English (age 28) living with his wife, Fanny (25), and
their two children: Mary A. (4) and Harry P. (1). In 1870, they lived at 413 N.
38th St. They had four additional children and he was working as a
commission merchant.
1866
Directory: James English, worked at 218 N. Broad St.
1866, Dec. 15: Death of Susan Turner, 50
years old, of 3714 Baring St.

Hamilton St. Gertrude and Louisa (then a widow) were still living there in
1930.
