Place.
The
1861 directory lists James English living on Hamilton above 33rd St.
The
1860 census lists James English (age 28) living with his wife, Fanny (25), and
their two children: Mary A. (4) and Harry P. (1). In 1870, they lived at 413 N.
38th St. They had four additional children and he was working as a
commission merchant.
