            Robert T. Frialey died May 5, 1899.  He was living at 3635 Spring Garden St.

 

1900:

Anna [M.] McAllister   51        Physician; single; renting

Margaret McCuen        24        Servant; parents born in Ireland

            Anna M. McAllister graduated from the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania.  In the 1881 Directory, she was listed as an M.D. on the staff there.  In 1880, she lived with her parents, William and Anna J. McAllister, at 2045 Chestnut St.  Her father and her four brothers were opticians.  Anna was listed as a “doctress.” (ED 164, 9)  In the 1895 Directory, she is still listed at 2045 Chestnut.  She organized a campaign to build the first hospital in Easton, Pa.  In 1910 and 1920, she lived at 3503 Baring St. with her sister.

 

1901, Jul. 31: Title transferred to Andrew Botto as of Alex Simpson, executor by Robert T. Frailey

 

1907, July: Andrew Botto purchased 307 N. 37th St. which he owned until November 1916.

            Andrew was the son of David Boto, a horse dealer.  In 1880, they lived at 1519 Race St.  The 1895 directory lists an Andrew Botto at 243 N 17th.

1922, Oct. 21: Title transferred to Margaret C. Simpson by Andrew Botto

 

1925, Apr. 23: Death of Charles Lincoln Cadwallader, 63 years old, son of Charles Naussan Cadwallader and Elizabeth Horne of 3626 Hamilton St.

            He was a dentist. In 1920, he lived in Upper Darby with his son and daughter ages 28 and 23. He was widowed. His estate was valued at $15,000 and distributed among relatives. (Inquirer, May 2)

            “He had practiced many years in Spain, where he received many honors from King Alfonso, and married a daughter of one of the noble houses.” (The Dental Summary, vol. XLV, p. 527)

           

1930:

James Andrews            10 months

            [The census gives his names as John.]  In 1940, Robert H. and Elizabeth P. Andrews lived in Middletown, Delaware Co.  In 1935, they lived in Chester Co.  They had another daughter.  He was sales manager for an electrical manufacturer and earned $4,000 in 1939.  Robert served in the Co. D., 407th Telegraph Bn. (Army) in WWI.  He died Feb. 13, 1968.

 

1940:

Charles Jacobsen          45        Salesman for coal (retail), earned $1,800 in 1939; l4 years of high school; owner, house valued at $7,000

Sarah Campbell            74        Aunt; widowed; born in Ohio, 8 years of education

 

1942, June 2: Death of Sarah Duffy Campbell, 76 years old, of 3626 Hamilton St. She was the widow of James P. Campbell. High mass at St. Agatha's Church.

 

1960, Jan. 25: Death of Charles H. Jacobsen, 65 years old, of 3626 Hamilton St. He was a salesman with M. Kelly's and Sons, coal dealers. He was survived by his wife, the former Margaret Campbell and others. A requiem mass was said at St. Agatha's Church.
