3621-3631: “three-story
red brick Victorian row house; two registers with segmental stone lintels, decorative
carved wood cornices and brackets. All but 3621 and 3623 have first-floor
projecting bays and all but 3625 (Victorian porch) have circa 1905 Colonial
Revival porches.”

1893, April 16, Inquirer: “West Philadelphia's contribution
to the fashionable weddings of the week was the nuptials miss Edith Shapleigh,
daughter of the late Dr. E. R. Shapleigh, and Francis Sellers Garrett in St. Andrews P. E. Church, at noon Wednesday. The
officiating clergymen were Rev. John R. Moses, of St. James Church, and Rev. C.
M. Armstrong, of St. Andrews. The bride wore an Empire gown of white bengaline,
trimmed with duchess lace, and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley. The
maid of honor was miss Anna Blandy, and she wore Japanese crepe, a satin cloak
trimmed swansdown and a white chip hat.
"J. George Klemm, Jr., was the
best man. The ushers were: John S. Loyd, William H. Loyd, Jr., W. Hasell Wilson, Jr.,
T. Wilson Loyd, George Bissell, Arthur Spruance,
Alexander Sellers, and Harry Miller.
"After the marriage a
breakfast, attended only by the immediate families, was given at the residence
of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Wilson, aunt and uncle of the
bride, 302 North 36th street.”

“Charles Brechemin,
retired vice president of the McKeesport Tin Plate Corp., died Wednesday at his
home, 3631 Hamilton st. He was 90.
“Mr. Brechemin,
a native of Philadelphia, retired from the firm, which has offices in New York,
in March, 1940. Active in Masonic circles, he was a
member of University Lodge, Mary Commandery, Knights Templar, University Royal
Arch Chapter, Benjamin Franklin Consistory, and LuLu
Temple.
“Mr. Brechemin
also was a member f the Union League, the Penn Athletic Club and the Lambs Club
