three-story, four-register Italianate style double with smooth stuccoed facade over brick construction and stone foundation. The building has its originally ornately-carved scrolls beneath the wood cornice of the overhanging flat roof. 200 has its original wood porch, the porch of 202 has been removed and the area enclosed in the attic.”

            He was elected Receiver of taxes in May, 1860.

            Martha Cathrall Tash was the daughter of George and Mary Cathrall. He was a paper hanger. They lived at 227 S. 6th St. In 1850, he owned $10,000 in real estate. Mary Cathrall died Dec. 24, 1875 and was buried from the Trash home. Martha’s sister, Hannah, lived with them in 1880 and married Thomas after her sister’s death.
