at 249 S. 3rd St. and 219 Levant. He lived at 327 S. 17th
St.
The 1873
directory lists Charles N. Apple as a paperhanger living at 1312 N. 12th
St. The 1880 directory lists him at 218 S. 40th St.

July: Deed for 432 transferred from Charles N. Apple to George Pilkington.
In 1875,
Pilkington was a partner in Bunting & Pilkington, stove dealers
at 3633 Haverford Ave. He lived at 3623 Atlanta. His partner, Charles J.
Bunting, purchased the twin, 430, at the same time.

a hardware merchant and a partner in the business at 3801 Market St. The 1876
directory lists him at 3711 Woodland Ave.

Louis M.
Simpson was a lawyer who may have been acting for someone else. In 1880, he and
his wife Henrietta M. Simpson, lived at 1830 N. 21st St. At the time
of this sale, he was about 30 years old. The 1887 Directory lists them at 3127
Powelton Ave. In 1890, they lived at 428 N. 32nd St. His father was
William H. Simpson who was Deputy Collector of Taxes in 1870 when they lived at
1606 N. 13th St.
