Campion was a partner in Smith & Campion, cabinet makers and upholsterers
at 249 S. 3rd St. and 219 Levant. He lived at 327 S. 17th
St.
The 1873
directory lists Charles N. Apple as a paperhanger living at 1312 N. 12th
St. The 1880 directory lists him at 218 S. 40th St.

transferred from Charles N. Apple to Charles J. Bunting.
The 1875 directory lists Bunting as a
partner in Bunting & Pilkington, stove dealers at
3633 Haverford Ave. He lived at 3438 Lancaster Ave. The 1876 directory
lists his home as 4006 Powelton Ave. The 877 directory lists him as a tinsmith
living at 4005 Powelton Ave. Bunting’s partner, George Pilkington, bought 432,
next door, at the same time.

Louis M. Simpson was a lawyer at 247
S. 6th St. who lived at 1606 N. 13th St. in 1876.
Isaac Hazlehurst was a lawyer who

occupation as “gentleman.” Samuel was listed as “reading law.” The household
included a coachman, a housekeeper, and a domestic servant. The 1860 census
lists him as a contractor with $5,000 in real estate and $500 in personal
property. He and his wife, Josephine, had six children.
