Louis Kolbe living at 314 N.
31st St. He is listed as a machinist.
Dietrich
had an older daughter, Mary, who was born in France.
Dietrich’s
brother, Charles W. Kolbe, lived behind them at 324 N.
31st St.
Charles
Kolbe was named after his grandfather and his uncle. He married Bertha Miller
in Philadelphia in 1890. In 1900, they lived at 1742 Allegheny Ave.
1878, Apr. 7: Death of Dietrich W. Kolbe, 54 years old. He was
buried at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
After his death, Hedwig listed her
address as 1207 Arch St. which was the location of the business.

The 1894 directory lists Hedwig Kolb
living at 1339 Arch St. The 1895 directory lists her in Jenkintown, Pa. At the
time of the 1900 census, she was at the home of her daughter Minnie (Kolbe) Custice in Moravia, Cayuga, New York. Minnie was listed as
married with six children, but her husband was not enumerated with them.

Maximillian F. La Roche for $4,500. (Inquirer, Oct. 8)

children, one of whom was adopted. His sister-in-law, Ida M. Dempsey, also

part of the Pennsylvania Laundry Co., 305-327 N. 32nd St.
