            In 1870, he was 30 years old and living with his parents, John and Mary (Berriman) Thomson. He was an insurance clerk. His father was secretary of the Masonic Lodge with real estate valued at $128,000 and $18,000 in personal property.

            Theodore P. Thomson was born in 1875. He married Elizabeth “Bessie” Meeser. In 1910, they lived at 323 N. 32nd St. In 1920, they lived at 3629 Spring Garden St.

1950 Directory: Peiffer Max H., owner of a garage at 215 N. Spengler

 

1951: Max H. Peiffer was a member of the group Philadelphians Against the Charter which was formed to oppose Charter reform. He was identified as president of the Powelton Civic Association. (Inquirer, April 4)

 

1955: Max H. Peiffer was president of the Federation of Community Councils of Philadelphia (Inquirer, May 15 and Mar. 28, 1956)

            He died in 1998 when he was living in Carlisle, Pa. He was buried in Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler.
