“two-and-one-half story red brick Victorian
house in front, middle, and rear sections, the last of which is probably a circa
1890 three-story addition. Front block has eaves from hipped roof; middle
block, gabled roof; rear block, flat roof; front porch removed; rebuilt and
enclosed with aluminum siding. Partial aluminum siding on second floor and
dormer.”

The
1878 directory lists him at the corner of N. 33rd and Baring (401 N. 33rd St.) His brother, Henry C. McIlvaine lived at
37256 Spring Garden St. and later at 3308 Hamilton

residents. He had four years of high
school education. In 1943, he purchased 315 N.
35th St. but sold it in 1946. The 1950 directory lists him at
both 3205
Baring St. and 3308
Baring St. However, the 1950 census lists him as a medical teach living in
Warwick, Bucks Co. working at a hospital. When he died in 1954, he was living
in Milton, DE. The information for the death certificate was provided by Mary
James who lived at 3308 Baring St.
