420-442: “Built in 1884 as single development. Attributed to George Hewitt…. 440-42: three--story, four-register brick double; porch-fronted, original porches with new supporting foundation. Splayed brick lintels. Rai sed brick quoins around third-story windows. Corbelled and pressed brick cornice.--- Contributing.

            Most of the family changed their name from McAdams to Adams after 1900. Hugh, Jr. kept thee name McAdams. In 1900, they lived at 617 N. 39th St. In 1930, they lived at 426 N. 32nd.

 

1931: Marriage of Marie S. Matson to Hugh J. McAdams, M.D.

            Her family lived at 404 N. 32ndSt. In 1940, Hugh and Marie were living at 3619 Baring St.

 

1935: Marriage license issued to Helen Tierney and Francis McAdams

 

1940: Marriage license issued to Helen C. Matson previously of 404 N. 32nd St. and James J. Adams of 442 N. 32nd St.

            Helen was the sister of Marie Matson who married Hugh McAdams, Jr.
