1910, Henry and son Harry, were boarders at 1708 Green St. Henry was a builder
and Harry was a shop apprentice. Henry was widowed. In 1900, Henry was boarding
with the James Truitt family at 642 N. Franklin. He listed his birth date as
April 1866. He was widowed and working as a builder. He was listed as having
had 3 children, with 1 surviving (although this question was supposed to be
answered only by women).

Want
ads for housework for all houses in Powelton were very common up until the
1930s. They sometimes mentioned race or ethnicity.
