1872 G.M. Hopkins atlas shows a single house on the lot. The 1878 Scott atlas shows the row of house
that are there today.

1873 directory lists Jacob Fehl living at 3519 Lancaster Ave. but continuing to
work here.
The
1877 directory lists Dennis Muldowney living at Markoe near Huron.
Bridget
O’Melia was listed in the second enumeration of the 1870 census (November) as “Muldowney.” In the 1877 and 1878 directories [see below]
she was listed at 3509 Lancaster as “Muldooney” and as “O’Malley.” In 1880, she was again listed as “Omelia.” Her daughter was listed as Mary Lavin,
although the last name appears to be crossed out. [This may also be a granddaughter as the age
is crossed out as well.] They were
living at 180 N. Sloan St. Bridget was
listed as a seamstress, although she had been unemployed for six months in the
previous year. A genealogy lists her as
the widow of James O’Mealy, although no source is listed.
