            Frederick Andrews was the son of Alexander and Euretta Andrews. He grew up at 3507 Baring St. Mary Schoonmaker Andrews was the daughter of a prominent Civil War general from Pittsburgh. They moved to Haverford. At the time of the 1895 census of New Jersey, they were living Plainfield, N.J. where he was in the produce exchange business.             In 1900, they lived at 3825 Oxford St. Walter listed his occupation as engineer. Dorthea Zothe was widowed, but stated she had had 6 children, 4 of whom were still living.

 

1918, Sept. 10: Death of Walter M. Steen, 57 years old, husband of Emma T. Steen (nee Zothe). Relatvies, friends, also Manufactures' Rotary, Engineers' and Athletic Clubs, Phila. Torazemeinde, Technical Society, employees of Prinogy Chemical Co., and all other societies of which he was a member, are invited to attend funeral at his previous residence, 3409 Race St.
