The History of the Building

 

3213-3221: “three-story Victorian red brick rowhouses with splayed brick lintels, pressed brick belt course and decorative tiles. Corbelled brick cornice. 3213 and 3215 porch removed; .3217porch original; 3219 and 3221 have circa 1940 wrought iron.

1942, Nov. 26: Death of James Henry Howard, 55 years old. He was born in Mauch Chunk, Pa. Burial was a Holy Cross Cemetery.

1956: James Howard was a Trustee of the Metropolitan Baptist Church when they purchased 3500 Baring St. from The Northminster Presbyterian Church.
