In 1850, they lived in York, Pa. They
listed three children: Emma P. (age 14, see 1990 below), Henry S. (10), and
Edwin R. [4).
Edwin W. Bounds and L. Eliza Bates
were married at the home of his father in Chestnut Hill on Oct. 8, 1867. They
were married by Rev. Harris of St Paul’s Episcopal Church of Chestnut Hill. She
was the daughter of Thomas L. and Leah Bates of Chestnut Hill.
