In 1910, August Albers lived at 200
N. 15th St., a large house with 16 residents. He was one of two
boarders; there were three lodgers and many family members. He was a dental
machinist. The line above him lists Latitia Baker age 35, the sister-in-law of the household head. She was
born in Ohio; her parents were born in Germany. This is almost certainly the
future Mrs. Albers. The difference in the reported place of birth for her
parents may reflect the fact that German ancestry was not as popular after WWI
as it was in 1910.
