3620-22: “three-story brick carriage house; corbelled brick detail. First-floor circa 1950 Colonial Revival alterations including pent and one-story addition to west”

The 1878 Scott Atlas does not show a building at this location. 3622 and 3624 first appear in the 1886 Baist Atlas.

 

1883, May 3: Title for 3622-24 Pearl St. transferred to Max Riebenack by Charles F. Hall

            Charles F. Hall was a 38-year-old real estate agent. In 1880, he lived with his mother and brother in the home of his brother-in-law, Alfred Chapman, at 3610 Baring St.

            Max Riebenack lived at 3701 Powelton Ave. He was an accountant for the Pennsylvania Railroad.

 

1888, June 27: Title for 3622-24 Pearl St. transferred to Thomas Scattergood by Max Riebenack

            The Scattergood family lived at 3515 Powelton Ave.

            In 1880, they lived at 32 Lober St. [N-S St. between 38th & Sloan]. Edward Sexton and Margaret Nugent were married in Philadelphia in 1886.

1913, June 25: Death of Edward John Sexton, 47 years old, son of John Edward Sexton and Nora Murphy. A High Mass was said at St. Agatha's church.

            John Sexton married Alice Atkins in 1907. John died January 13, 1926 and his brother, Edward, had married Alice. They were living with her children on Cayuga St., near Roosevelt Blvd. and Broad St. He was an “automobile machinist.”
