3309 Hamilton Street
The
History of the Building
The northern edge of this property was part
of the northern boundary of the Bingham-Baring estate.
Rebuilt in 1891 or
1892 after a fire. The architect for the rebuilding was John
Clifford Worthington. The builder was Frank Vodges. (Phila. Builders’
Guide, Aug. 5, 1891)
The design is
described as: “late Queen Anne style house of Pompeiian brick,
large picture window; stuccoed third floor, red metal hipped roof, small
arcuated windows with columns over entry.”
