1889-90 Directories: Magilton Albert L.

Magilton Mary A.

            The 1886 directory lists Mary as the widow of Albert living at 718 Florida St. Albert, Jr. was a student and lived with her. Albert, Sr. had died in 1875.

            In 1900, Albert L. Magilton lived at 4031 Baring St. with his wife, Gertrude (Hand) Magilton, and their two-year-old daughter, Margarette. They were both 29 and had been married five years. He was working as an iron dealer. They also had a black servant, Lenna Jones, who was 43 and born in Tennessee. She was widowed and had had five children. Only one survived.
