3826-3840:
“two-and-one-half story mansarded brick commercial
row. Arched entrances, most have first floor front commercia1 alterations,
pressed metal cornices. Number 3826, the only stuccoed
facade, has pedimented doorway. All but 38 26 have second floor projecting wood
bays; 3836, 3838 and 3840 - aluminum sided. Carved decorative wood cornice
across entire row; slate shingled mansard with single and paired dormer windows
be 1 ow projecting Victorian bracketed gab1es. – Contributing.”

The
1877 directory lists Ella living at 1133 S. 11th St. The 1880 census
lists them as the children of Albert and Mary Ben. Ella was 26 and William was
21. They were living at 3639 Market St. Albert was also a paper hanger.
