“two-and-one-half story mansarded brick commercial
row. Arched entrances, most have first floor front commercia1 alterations,
pressed metal cornices. Number 3826, the only stuccoed
facade, has pedimented doorway. All but 38 26 have second floor projecting wood
bays; 3836, 3838 and 3840 - aluminum sided. Carved decorative wood cornice
across entire row; slate shingled mansard with single and paired dormer windows
be 1 ow projecting Victorian bracketed gab1es. – Contributing.”

The
1900 census shows him living at 341 Fairmount Ave. with his wife of six years,
Hattie. They had a seven-year-old son. Charles and Hattie were born in Germany
and immigrated in 1880 and 1885.

The
1900 census lists him as “George Coff” living at 1009
S. 3rd St. He and his wife, Fannie, were born in Russia. They were
27 and 25-years-old and had immigrated in 1888 and 1891, respectively. They had
a son and a daughter.
