1836], was the son of John D. Edwards. Mary Elizabeth (Cookingham)
Edwards graduated from Vassar College, class of 1879. They were married in Lee,
Massachusetts, Sept. 29, 1886. She was the daughter of Peter G. and Elizabeth Hulett Cookingham. He was a
farmer. John and Mary’s first child, George L. Edwards was born 1888 and died
