wood and. glass paneled doors and/or their wood porches. 3618 has a projecting
first floor bay. Each house has two dormers projecting from the mansarded roof; except for 3618, all mansards have original
slate shingles.”

8, G.A.R. are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from his late
residence. He worked as a
bookbinder. His parents were Stephen W.

He was a Private in Company E. of
the 188th. He enrolled Aug.
11, 1862 and mustered out with the company, June 1, 1865, In 1890, his widow, Lucy was living at 3612 Hamilton St.

The 1881 Directory lists him at 3413 Race St. In
the 1880 census he is listed as Harry Herbert at that address. He had a brother, George, who also lived at
3413 Race St. in 1880. The 1881 directory
lists George at 3728 Lancaster Ave. He
was about 14 years younger than William and was born in Canada which suggests
the family lived there before moving to the U.S.
