The History of the Buildings

3306-3316 were previously dated to 1890. Recent research reveals they were developed in 1880-‘81 by John Sellers, Jr. and his wife, Ann Caroline (Keen) Sellers, who live at 3300 Arch St. For example, these houses are shown in the "Atlas of West Philadelphia, 24th and 27th Wards” published in 1886 by Baist which shows the buildings with John Sellers as the owner.

1881, November: John Sellers acquired fire insurance from the Pennsylvania Fire Insurance Co. for 3306-3318 Arch St. (Historical Society of Pennsylvania) In 1880, he had acquired insurance for 3310-3318 but not 3306-3308.
