3213-27: “Circa 1880, three-story, two-register Victorian red brick rowhouses; doors and first floor windows originally full-height, now lower portion stuccoed and with air conditioning units; splayed brick lintels. 3213 and 3215 window openings unaltered; pressed brick belt courses; second floor windows have brownstone sills and lintels. 3213 and 3215 have mansard with slate shingles and wood gabled dormers with wood brackets; decorative

pressed brick band below metal cornice; mansard has metal sheathing; original porches remove” (Inventory of Buildings in Powelton from the application submitted to the National Register of Historic Places, 1985)

1887 Directory: Albert B. Parvin, extracts, 125 S. Front St.

            He was the son of Arthur Parvin and Jane Barber.

            The 1880 census him living with his in-laws, Joseph and Anna Souder, at 317 N. 40th St. The 1881 Directory lists him in the “oils” business at 109 S. Front St.

 

1898 Directory: Joseph W. Souder real estate and president at 207 S. 5th St.

 

1899 Directory: Joseph W. Souder real estate at 207 S. 5th St.
