            He was the son of Davis Garrett and Phoebe Thatcher, born 7/10/1799. They were members of Goshen Monthly Meeting (Quaker).

            Apparently, there was an ancestor who also did silver plating. A stove plate cast at the Cornwall Furnace was plated by an Amos Garrett in 1752. (State Museum of Pennsylvania)

            Their son, Jay Coray Harvey, was living in Susquehanna, Cambria, Pa with his Stalb grandparents (listed as Carrie).

 

1910:

Jacob B. Stalb              73        Father-in-law;

Sarah E. Stalb              72        Mother-in-law; married 49 years, 4 children, one surviving

            Elisha G. Harvey and Elvira Stalb were married in Cambria Co., Pa in 1890. He was working as a druggist and she was a teacher. In 1920, they lived at 3227 Race St.

            Jacob B. Stalb served as a Private in Co. G of the 11th Pennsylvania Cavalry during the Civil War. Jacob and Sarah were still living in Hastings, Pa. in 1910 when their daughter Freda died.

            Sarah Elizabeth Stalb died at age 78 when they were living at 325 N 32nd St.
