1901: Macy Brooks received the degree of M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania

 

1903, Jan. 14: Marriage of Frances Annette Brooks to Frederick Thomas Ackermann at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Philadelphia

 

1903, Apr. 22: Marriage of Katharine Minor Lester of Lynchburg, Va. to Dr. Macy Brooks at Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia.

 

1904 Who’s Who in Pa.: BROOKS.  James Croxall:

“Member of the Pennsylvania Commandery of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion; Captain and Commissary of Subsistence United States Volunteers Jan. 1, 1863; honorably mustered out Dec. 19, 1865; brevetted Major United States Volunteers March 13, 1865, ‘for meritorious services in his department during the War’; elected May 6, 1891. Address, 117 North 33rd St., Philadelphia, Pa.” (p 87)

            James and Mary Brooks moved to West Chester where she died in 1909 and he died in 1911.
