100, 102, 104: “three three-story brick rowhouses. All second and third floor windows have slightly arched windows and all cornices have elaborately carvedscro11s. 102 and 104 have decorative soffit and fascia.”

                          John P. Massey

            John P. Massey of Westchester, Pa. married Rachel G. Kirkpatrick in Philadelphia on Aug. 21, 1854 at the Eleventh Street Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1870, they lived in West Goshen, Chester Co., Pa. where he was a farmer with real estate valued at $2,900 and personal property of $1,000. In 1880, they lived at 3232 Lancaster Ave. with their six surviving children. John was a railroad engineer.

            The 1880 census shows them living at 3232 Lancaster Ave. Eugene had a wife, Isabella (30, 8 years his senior), and a daughter (1 year).

            In 1920, Maurice was widowed. He lived at 869 N. 40th St. with his seven children. His sons Roy and Norman and his daughter Elsie were married but did not have children yet.
